Job Description AccountAbility Business Consulting provides specialized recruitment services tailored to a company’s exact needs and industry. So, we know the company, their needs, culture, and management we are conducting searches for very well. Accounts Payable Manager with Growing Real Estate & Property Management Company We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional (min. 2 - 3 years) for immediate hire. The ideal candidate would have worked in Real Estate/Property Management and have experience with AppFolio and/or other property management software. This position is with a well-established real estate firm with multiple properties throughout NYC and is based in their South Slope, Brooklyn office. We are seeking a self-motivated, fast learner with the ability to take initiative and multitask under tight deadlines. Your primary focus will be managing Accounts Payable for the corporate office, all properties, vendors, etc. with multiple accounts. You will be reporting to the Financial Director. Duties & Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day Accounts Payable functions for all properties Heavy use of AppFolio Real Estate Software and QuickBooks Strong ability to reconcile accounts, expenses and run reports Responsible for all vendor payables, mortgage payments and broker fees via AppFolio Processing monthly management fees and dividends for all properties Responsible for reimbursement of management repairs from all properties Paying and managing all properties utility bills Handle all bank reconciliations in AppFolio with close to 100 accounts Responsible for issuing invoices, collecting management fees and collecting for management repairs – from QuickBooks Responsible for management of Credit Cards and collecting reimbursements from AppFolio Maintaining management company bookkeeping in QB (bills, CC, payroll etc) Carry out any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role Desired Skills & Experience BA/BS degree, ideally with focus on finance, bookkeeping, accounting and/or real estate. Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar accounts payable/bookkeeping role Experience and working knowledge of AppFolio and/or other Property Management Software strongly desired. Finance and/or accounting acumen with a strong grasp of accounting principles Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in highly active, dynamic environment Knowledge and experience in finance, accounting and bookkeeping systems Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills Ability to plan and manage own workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Ideal Candidate KEY Attributes: Sharp, proactive and detail orientated Good command of QuickBooks, Excel, property management software, accounting software and web-based applications. This is a full-time position and an immediate hire. Compensation is $43 - $50K depending on experience. Location: South Slope, Brooklyn Thank you for interest in this job opportunity.
