Job Description The Block Institute of Brooklyn, New York is a non-profit, non-sectarian agency dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. Established in 1962, Block Institute has extensive experience providing individualized services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to work in our Education Program. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of New York State Education Department Regulations as well as New York City Department of Education Standard Operating Procedures. Job Duties, including, but not limited to: -Assisting with setting up tours for intakes -Bus duty coordination/assistance -New enrollment set ups -Front office administrative tasks -Reception area lunch coverage -Mail distribution -Any other duties upon request Monday through Friday/ 8am-4pm. Qualifications: High School Diploma or its equivalent Previous office experience required; NYSED or NYCDOE experience a plus* We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
