PSI Title: Application Developer II Work Location: NY - Brooklyn Description HRA/MIS is required to support the FIA initiative to re-engineer the business processes at the more than 40 SNAP and Job center locations. The mission is to develop a client self-directed service model that would improve customer service while maintaining integrity, by utilizing technology and simplifying existing business processes.Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:The successful candidate's core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to:Providing assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves.Providing general programming assistance to other MIS programmers/projects using PowerBuilder 11.5 or 12.5, VB.NET and ASP.NET.Performing System Design/Coding for web application using VB.NET/ASP.NET and Oracle 11g database.Designing, developing and consumption of web services. Work with Oracle PL/SQL, to create packages, Stored Procedures and functions.Working with MIS staff (eg managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes to the existing Power Builder applications.Creating test plan for unit testing and integration testing.Running unit testing and Integration testing for the modules developed and maintains program code.Designing reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms.Minimum Requirements:Bachelora€ (TM) s degree in related field with 8+ years of experience with writing application software data analysis, data access using Oracle 10g database or above. An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.8+ years of experience with technical and user documentation, software conversions from client server application in PowerBuilder to Microsoft .Net technology based web application.8+ years of experience in writing stored procedures, Functions and triggers in Oracle 10g or above for complex processing solutions.8+ years of experience with creating a web services and consuming the web services.8+ years of exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, mid range, personal computers and laptops.Experience in developing web application using Visual Studio 2008 and above with VB.NET, ASP.NET and Framework 4.5.Experience with working COM+ objects.Ability to integrating the browser ActiveX in PowerBuilder 11.5 or 12.5.Ability to effectively work in a team environment.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.Planned Systems International provides our customers with value-added management consulting and information technology services that consistently deliver success, and we are recognized as a world-class provider of innovative solutions that benefit mankind.
