TITLE : Database DeveloperLocation: Brooklyn, NYDuration: Long-Term Interview Type: In-Person/Onsite Interview (MUST)PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Automated Food Stamp Employment and Tracking project is an employment tracking system for food stamp clients. The system has to interface with WMS, POS to keep the transaction in sync. At the same time the employment assessment, timekeeping and scheduling component has to be built in this application for the vendors. The FS Employment Project must have a backend process to extract the eligible cases for employment assessment by the vendor and has to be processed and outcome has to be logged. Depending upon the business rules case has to be updated on WMS so the case can be sanctioned or closed. The information on FSE could be shared with POS via web services if needed. The consultant is needed for the implementation of streamlining enhancements requested by FIA due to the increased workload experienced over the past several months. Required SkillsMinimum 8 Years Experience with writing application software using PowerBuilder, Web technologies like .NET, MVC, XMLMinimum 8 Years Experience with data structures, data manipulation, databases using Oracle. Develop SQL queries, Packages, Triggers using Oracle, Review the design specifications for the task assign,Minimum 8 Years Develop technical document, code according the specifications and perform unit testingMinimum 8 Years Experience with technical and user documentation, software conversions from Legacy PowerBuilder to web technologiesMinimum 8 Years Exposure to environments include but are not limited to mainframe, windows and Unix Tasks & DutiesDevelop system design specificationDevelop new modules and perform Enhancements to the existing modules developed in Power builder, web technologies like NETDevelop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases. Create flow diagrams, system flows for existing systemsDevelop detailed systems operations designsDevelopment and codingWork with MIS staff (eg, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program code implementation, enhancements and changes using web technologies and PowerBuilderCreate, test and maintain program code using PowerBuilder, web technologies and OracleDesign reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms for existing and new modules for existing application developed on power builder and .NETProvide assistance to MIS technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselvesOccasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem PowerBuilder,.NET, MVC, XML,data structures, data manipulation, databases using Oracle.
