As a member of our Tech Team, youA?ll join the small but close:knit team responsible for maintaining and improving the 501 Auctions platform. We work directly with our Sales and Account Management teams to gather feedback on ways to improve the platform for our clients and their guests. YouA?ll have a significant role in contributing towards team process, platform iteration, and implementing requirements, in addition to working on a redesign and rebuild of our platform. The most successful candidates seek to provide an engaging experience for our clients and their guests during their largest fundraising events of the year. This role requires empathy for our users, as well as open communication with the team and business. The position reports to the Product Manager.This position can be filled in three locations: Richmond, VA Brooklyn, NY or Washington, DC.Contribute clean, functioning code to the 501 Auctions platformBuild reusable code and libraries for future useCollaborate with our UI/UX designer; ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsOptimize the application for speed and scalabilityAttend occasional charity fundraising events to get direct experience with our product and clients4+ years of professional experience as a web developerDemonstrable fluency and proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as server:side scripting languages such as PHP, Python, or NodeExperience designing or maintaining APIsExperience with database management and best practicesProficiency with Git and version control system best practicesBonus points for experience or expertise with AngularUnderstanding of cross:browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themMobile:first approach to application design and implementation
