Keeps up to date on current HIV/STI information, treatment and prevention methodsAbility to talk with media upon requestAdherence to and understanding of de:escalation steps and procedures with difficult clientsConducts HIV Pre and Post Test CounselingCorrectly administers and follow Quality Assurance guidelines to different HIV and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Testing TechnologiesAdministers oral and/or finger:stick tests to detect HIV antibodiesReviews, maintains and properly records program supply inventoryAbility to effectively communicate and recruit clients from different cultural backgroundsAbility to work in non:traditional testing sitesIdentifies and maintains working relationships with community partnersConducts and records testing controls and temperature logs per protocolOrganize and facilitate HIV testing eventsEffectively prepare and organize all paperwork related to the program with minimal mistakesElicits from clients HIV risk history including, but not limited to, demographic information, sex history, drug and alcohol use, and past STDA?sCollects and processes specimen samples in accordance with National, State, and Local guidelinesProvides health education and individual risk reduction counseling sessions.Ability to disclose HIV reactive results to clients in a professional and sensitive mannerAdhere to AHF linkage policy when referring clients to careParticipate and provide education information and /or testing in community health fairs and other eventsAble to provide presentations and workshops on HIV/STI education and awarenessConduct test result disclosure and post disclosure counseling as needed and required.Offer clients local community and medical referrals as neededResponsible for maintenance of testing area including cleaning and sanitizing daily Organize and clean the testing and storage room areaAbility to understand and use AHFA?s testing software programs (CHAMP, Fleetio, Formstack, Healthvana, etc).Conducts street and online outreach at a minimum of 10 of testing shiftResponsible for daily recruitment of clients to test and actively engages with OTC patrons and nearby community membersDrive the mobile testing unit/vehicle to multiple locations to perform HIV testing, outreach and recruitment.Ability to perform on:going outreach and recruitment during testing shifts in all weather conditionsReports vehicle, client and personal incidents and accidents in a timely manner and according to AHF policy.Conducts daily vehicle checks and accurately records vehicle condition before, during and after shifts.Identify and locate new venues to conduct outreach and HIV tes
