Job Description Job D2013 Description SOFT's client located in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a Business Analyst - IT for a long term contract assignment. Critical Key requirements · Working knowledge of MS Project and PDLC/ SDLC project management processes · Clear, concise writing and documentation skills · IT Project Management experience · Ability to facilitate cooperation and participation with other departmental work groups and vendors, and maintain meeting minutes/records · Ability to analyze, understand and document business rules, workflows and system functionality · Ability to complete documentation deliverables and manage shared project website postings and updates on strict schedules SUMMARY of the FUNCTION/Role The IT Program Management Office is seeking a temporary consultant to perform business, system and workflow analysis; develop specifications, User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts and documentation in compliance with standards and procedures, and assist in testing systems interfaces to deliver a new 3rd party cloud based software solution to the internal business client. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform analysis of business processes, business and system requirements for the configuration and implementation of a new software application that supports the internal client business requirements Employ structured modeling techniques and tools to describe business functions, processes, workflows, information and technology designs Develop and maintain PDLC (Project Development Life Cycle) artifacts and gate review documentation for program development activity in a timely and high quality manner Update and maintain MS Project schedules on weekly basis Document As-Is and To-Be process flows for existing and future systems Coordinate and facilitate meetings such as business process reviews, project status meetings, and maintain various project status reports Qualifications EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION · Excellent oral and written/presentation communication skills · Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) · Experience and proficiency creating and maintaining MS Project schedules · Strong inter-personal skills including ability to work with internal and external/vendor business and technical staff, at all levels of each organization. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline driven environment · Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; a self-starter · BS, PMI a plus
