A group company within NTT DATA currently seeks a Project Manager to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. Position Functions or Responsibilities:Directs and over sees the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) which encompasses the planning, organizing and managing of resources to bring about the successful completion of specific projects goals and objectives. This includes defining project scope of work, developing detailed project plans, establishing milestones and defining the resources/funding required.Partners with Technical Leads to direct and oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which encompasses establishing a logical process in developing information systems, requirements and authentication which will result in the production of a highly qualified system that meets or exceed expectations within time and cost estimates, and works effectively and efficiently in the current and planned Information Technology infrastructure.Evaluates the scope and complexity of projects and programs, and implements the necessary resources to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. This includes preparing detailed project plans, allocating staff and establishing budget requirements.Develops and monitors schedules to ensure that projects are completed within established deadlines.Leads status meetings, Tracks and maintains detailed issues and risks lists, and prepares appropriate project meeting minutes and status reports. Meets regularly with other related areas to ensure that integration issues are identified and resolved. Identifies project risks/issues and mitigation strategies, and communicates risk/issue status updates to stakeholders.Assist PMO with Methodology deployment and Process reengineering and evaluation efforts.Interfaces with all levels of business and technical management staff and project teams to facilitate problem resolution and the resolution of competing priorities.Monitors and manages team progress to ensure that project objectives are met.Conducts scoping sessions and assists in the creation of work and proposal statements.This may include providing technical approaches, tasks, deliverables, work estimate, assumptions, dependencies, etc.Basic Qualifications:1 year of prior Education industry/project experience.7 years of experience managing project teams of 5 or more resources, where resources were either dedicated to the project and/or matrixed into the project from other teams.7 years of experience utilizing either Waterfall or Iterative/Incremental methodologies for project delivery.7 years of experience demonstrating problem-solving abilities and industry technology competencies.7 years of professional background in business management, process optimization and customers' relationship management.7 years of experience performing critical project risk/issue management activities including, but not limited to: identifying, evaluating, mitigating, responding and communicating project risks/issues to all project stakeholders.Bachelor's DegreePMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP or Prince2 Certification7 years of professional experience with Work Breakdown Structure Development, Schedule Management and Baselining, Budget Initialization and Management, Risk/Issue Analysis and Management1 year of professional experience with Burndown Chart Development, Critical Chain Planning and Buffer Management, Earned Value Management This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA.
