Senior Interiors Designer, HOTELS: West Elm

We have partnered with Inscape, an award:winning designer and manufacturer of office furniture who has been initiating change in workspace design for the past 125 years. With an emphasis on quality, innovation, technical design and unparalleled delivery and service, Inscape has been consistently awarded for its design, including 4 Gold and 1 Silver Best of Neocon Awards at NeoCon 2014, North Americas largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors. Inscape manufactures the majority of their designs in North America.
The Senior Interior Designer will be tasked with establishing and maintaining the interior design process for west elm Hospitality. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team and bring a high level of creative and technical competency to the department. They will also be able to articulate the brand concepts to external design resources.
Essential Functions:
* Create interior design concepts that include programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning.
* Work with external design resources to bring brand vision to fruition, managing through design process from the brands perspective.
* Work collaboratively with FFE team to create product briefs and co:ordinate finish selections
* Work to create visual assets to communicate concepts to internal and external partners
* Work with development partners on deliverables for projects as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to inspire and create stories that result in interiors that are rich and relevant
* Highly collaborative
* Highly articulate, able to present to senior member of the organization
* In depth knowledge of hospitality interior design including FFE specifications
* Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
* 8+ years of interior design experience
* Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D and other modeling software programs
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* Knowledge of contract furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
* Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
