Position Summary:User Experience/User Interface Developer

The Mini:Circuits corporate website, minicircuits is home to Mini:Circuits web store as well as extensive product data, engineering tools and support resources used by thousands of customers every day. The User Experience Designer/Developer will research, plan, develop, and implement cohesive, user:centric interaction, information architecture, and visual design across the Mini:Circuits website, e:commerce platform, and other digital touchpoints with our internal and external customers. This is a new position in a growing, mid:size technology company, and an unusual opportunity to make a big impact on brand perception, customer satisfaction, productivity and sales growth for a prominent company in a complex and fascinating industry.
Job Functions

: Gather user research following sound methodologies to identify and prioritize user needs, design problems and pain points. Translate findings into elegant, actionable design solutions.
: Audit existing UI features and tools and identify opportunities to improve user satisfaction.
: Continuously revise and improve designs based on user feedback, emerging best practices, technical constraints and business decisions.
: Develop user:flows, journey maps, page flows, wireframes, detailed mockups and interactive demos to present design concepts to stakeholders, solicit feedback, and iterate to gain buy:in.
: Work between departments to engage stakeholders and manage projects from concept ideation through implementation.
: Collaborate with software engineering team to turn design concepts into working interfaces and web:applications.
: Support sales and marketing efforts to attract website traffic, capture leads, and drive web sales by developing interactive landing pages and mini:sites.
: Source and create eye:catching, cohesive graphics and UI elements across all web pages and interfaces.
: Develop and document a unified, global style guide for all UI assets across all platforms consistent with the Mini:Circuits brand.
: Develop clear, foolproof documentation for new and existing programs in interfaces for both internal and external users.
: Support development and improvement of web applications for sales teams in the field and other software assets as needs dictate.
: Monitor website traffic and site performance KPIs. Report regularly on the impact of UX improvements on user behavior.
: Identify and pursue additional areas within the company to improve productivity through better user experience.
Desired Qualifications
:BA or BS in computer science or engineering with focus in interaction design, human factors, human:computer interaction, human:centered computing and/or systems engineering... OR.... BFA/MFA in User Experience Design or Interactive Design.
:Minimum 3 years experience in a UI/UX design role, for a B2B technology product or service platform.
:Must be either a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (green card holder) due to ITAR compliance regulations.
:Deep knowledge of current and emerging web application technologies, design tools, techniques and best practices.
:Genuine interest in science, technology and industry.
:Proven experience innovating beautiful, intuitive digital experiences for sophisticated users tied to measurable business results.
:Strong knowledge of user research and usability testing methodologies and tools.
:Experience using Google Analytics, surveys and related tools to analyze user preferences and behavior patterns.
:Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant tool sets.
