FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Kingsborough Community College is accepting applications for a Lecturer. The Lecturer will teach undergraduate courses in all Culinary Arts content areas. Successful applicants will also be able to build relationships with the NYC Hospitality Industry to develop internships and workforce development initiatives. Work with high schools and higher education institutions to foster student recruitment and retention. Student advisement, department and collegiate committee participation are required.

Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in area(s) of expertise, or equivalent as noted below. Relevant, experience in the Tourism and Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Food and Beverage Industries. Prior teaching experience in Tourism and Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Food and Beverage disciplines at the college level, or as a Hospitality Industry trainer. The ability to cooperate, and serve with others for the good of the institution.
COMPENSATION
$72,373 - $74,454
