Guide, advise, and support a wide variety of students through the career planning, decision making, and job searching processes in a high:volume Career Services department. Assist students in analyzing their interests and skills, and developing career goals. Plan, market and implement career related seminars and events, and gather data to analyze program effectiveness. Liaise with senior stakeholders including faculty, university administrators and employers across NYUs global sites. While supporting STEM students and industry, this position provides career counseling services for the office in Brooklyn and collaborates with other staff members across office locations, requiring travel from Brooklyn to Manhattan.Required Education:Bachelors degree in related field.Preferred Education:Masters degree in a related field.Required Experience:2 years relevant experience in career services, counseling, student personnel, human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience implementing programs, seminars, events, and preparing training materials. Experience working with undergraduate, graduate and international student populations.Preferred Experience:Experience working with employers/recruiters, alumni, and STEM industry/student populations. Experience with Social Media and/or Communications/Marketing.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Career planning, assessment, and job search expertise. Excellent communication, presentation, writing and organizational skills.
