Job Overview
The Director of Sales + Marketing role will be to grow the office furniture business through the dealer marketplace and our fast growing Hospitality business. As the foundation of the sales/marketing team, youll be responsible for generating and managing all sales, inbound +outbound lead generation, as well as business development. This includes prospecting potential dealers, building strong relationships with current dealers and driving the closure of large scale orders. Youll work with marketing to help manage lead lists, marketing campaigns + materials, budgets and expos. As a true business leader, you will be the expert of the office furniture industry, ergonomics, and e:commerce and dealer showrooms. You will also work closely with our retail store field organization to drive lead generation and form relationships with local dealers and stores.
Requirements
* Must have an entrepreneurial spirit with willingness to own all aspects of the workspace and Hospitality businesses
* Design, optimize, and evolve the workspace to dealer sales processes
* Come up with creative initiatives that will make a difference in your lead generation efforts, test them out, measure, scale and rollout
* Own the pitch, objections and competitive intel for your teams as the marketplace evolves.
* Understand B2B business needs and articulate design requests and needs for future growth with internal teams
* Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential, monitor customer preferences and inventory requirements
* Plan, direct, and set the strategic direction of the sales and marketing program to maximize profit and increase product or service visibility.
* Have a passion for design and appreciation for design history
* Posses the ability to present the West Elm brand across categories, building moment
