Job Description We are currently seeking an East Coast Sales Director to join our team! Reporting to the President/CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and business development to drive company revenue. If you like large commissions and pay based on performance, this is the job for you. We're in our second year of operations and are growing rapidly, if you're looking to join a start-up environment where you can own and create your own path, this is the job for you. Genuine Foods is based in Brooklyn, you can be based anywhere from New England to the Mid-Atlantic. Travel to Brooklyn, 1-2 times a month to meet with the management team will be required. Genuine Foods is a start-up, with a scrappy team. This position has enormous potential for growth – leading to building and managing a sales team. Responsibilities: Create and execute a comprehensive sales plan tied to business and community impact goals. Generate, cultivate and secure new leads and partnerships in the New England, Tri-State and Mid-Atlantic areas. Establish sales territories, quotas, and goals. Lead the charge, in collaboration with the management team, to build and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, affinity groups and associations, advocacy groups and progressive policymakers. Project manage and own any RFPs, proposals or pitches. Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting Collaborate with the management team on marketing and public relations. Qualifications: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field Be mission-driven and values-based with the goal of meeting potential customers where they are and engaging them in Genuine Foods’ mission. The ideal candidate has food service or hospitality experience and is a skilled project manager who can communicate effectively verbally and in writing. A self-starter, confident in your abilities, self-motivated and able to work effectively with little supervision. An engaging presence and strong ability to build authentic relationships with all levels of prospective partners. Appreciated, but not necessarily required, is familiarity with the RFP (Request for Proposal) process. Familiarity with CRM platforms Meticulous about details and follow up; subscribes to the belief that no task is too big or too small.
