Position Description:
A Marketing Coordinator will develop marketing strategies, objectives, and targets, as well as analyze the success of marketing campaigns and advertisements. He or she should have strong business knowledge and some customer service skills. The position also requires strong written, verbal and presentation capabilities, as well.This role can be mentally arduous and is not for the faint of heart. A New York City awareness of your surroundings and a Coney Island sensitivity to trouble is part of the tertian. Be ready to have a long day, go home and do it all over again the next day.
Primary Objectives:
:Develops ideas and creative brief for campaigns
:Coordinates with marketing department, other Luna Park departments and employees, and outside parties to ensure execution of campaigns
:Tracks progress of campaigns while making adjustments and writing wrap:up reports
:Creates and writes e:mail marketing campaigns
:Inputs relevant data as advertising contracts are signed
:Inform marketing department of when contracts go life and ensure creative material are sent on time
:Facilitate campaign management meetings and present relevant data and findings to marketing department and management as to make informed decisions moving forward
:Reviews resumes and interviews potential interns and works with Human Resources to ensure intern postings are listed as needed
:Manages interns and has weekly meetings to ensure internship is working well and work is being completed
:Facilitates getting employees processed and present in department
:Researches and reviews requests from department and management
:Gathers relevant data
:Puts data in appropriate format and delivers data to requester
:Orders promotional materials and ensure the time arrival for special events
:Organize receipts and purchase orders
:Set up and tests equipment to ensure it works properly
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:
:Coordinate with Human Resources on new hires and intern intake process
:Conduct competitive analysis research
:Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and participating in webinars
:Contribute to creative ideas with the marketing team
:Develop park promos
:Support in park film/photo shoots
:Manage administration financial projects
:Manage department projects such as public relations outreach
:Assist with channel projects such as social media and events
Job Requirements :
:Must have a Bachelor A. in Business, Marketing or Organizational Development
:1:2 years minimum experience
Work Environment :
The Marketing Department supports the rest of the organization, so we have to serve mass needs including the executives, management, as well as vendors and guests. Part of our job is educating co:workers and executives on the importance MarCom strategy. Marketing Department team members have to be able to take critique and direction contrary to their wishes or best practices. Get ready to accept executing vanity projects. Have we mentioned that its fast passed? Be able to work in a small business environment : its still a young growing company. The biggest demand of you will be about hours. Successful employees will have the ability to adapt to a shifting work schedule. Be prepared to spend nights, weekends, holidays and special event days at the park.
